Faces

Mia continues to amaze us with her beauty each day. She is so precious and just completely relaxed. Sleeps a lot, eats well, and doesn't fuss much at all. Hope we can keep that up...cross'n the fingers. Enjoy some of her faces...

8.14

Baby Hahn joined us today at 0345 in the morning. The entire labor, delivery, and so far each minute has been a Gift from God. We will share all the details with you as time permits. We thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Mia Celie Hahn weighed 8 lbs 14 ounces and was 22 inches long and of course got all of her looks from her mother. Love you all

Past Due

I know many of you have been thinking that we are ignoring you all and just to lazy to pick up the phone. Well, the truth is...no baby yet. baby Mia has chosen to marinate just a little longer. At this point Anna is 3 days past due. No worries, we have no question that God is in complete control of the whole situation and we are just anxiously awaiting the new arrival.

My hand is getting better. I have been going to occupational therapy three times a week trying to regain movement and full use and strength of my hand again. Crazy to think that just a pinkie can create this much havoc with it. Through all this I am working pretty hard doing my best to prepare the Unit for their return. We will start seeing the planes arriving in the next two to three weeks so keep our paratroopers in your prayers.

Better go for now. added are some pics of our last berry hunt.

Eklutna Lake

Today after work we quickly ran up north...err..eggh...drove up north to see one of the great Alaskan lakes nestled in between the mountains. Quickly learned that chocolate labs mixed with Alaska mountain water freeze almost instantly when exposed to the crisp frigid air. It was entertaining as Faith's coat was turning to ice crystals right before us. That didn't stop Cora as she continued to throw the ball into the lake toss after toss. Oh the joys of being young. We didn't anticipate it becoming so frigid but as soon as the sun dropped behind the mountains it quickly became uncomfortable. Despite being 40 weeks pregnant Anna somehow managed to squeeze into her jacket...still beautiful as ever. To bad the cold doesn't induce labor because winter is quickly falling upon us.

Red Sox & Alaska Range

My first task as a father has taken effect and starting to become a success with each Sportscenter episode and of course multiple mentioning of the Bean Town and of course how much the Yankees are hated. It is hilarious, the other night Cora was running around the house yelling, "We don't like the Yankees, THROW THEM AWAY!!! We don't like the Yankees, THROW THEM AWAY!!!!" Well with the BoSox in the ALCS Game already Cora and I have a lot of bonding to do over the next week. As for the Broncos...well, I am extremely embarrassed by their outing so I choose not to talk about it right now.
The Hahn Family is doing great. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Mia Celie Hahn. Anna is obviously encouraging it along and cant wait for this ride to be over. Cora cant wait to be a big sister and I have gone out and bought another gun.
We had the opportunity to go for some drives this past weekend up to Flat Top or "Flat Tat" as Cora says. It was a beautiful crisp Alaska day. From the top you could see Mt. McKinley, the Alaska Range, and the Cooke Inlet. Needless to say, it was breathless...and it wasn't just from the wind.
Until next time, God Bless you all and be praying for a healthy delivery. That is all.

Just Around the Corner

Yes, it is true I am back and although my personal site is still there anxiously awaiting another addition, I am backed on this site by m beautiful 39 weeks pregnant wife, my 4 year old princess, and of course...the little girl waiting for the timer to go off and join us in this world. There will be many writings and photographs to come. Tune in next time. That is all.
